Pengertian, Rumus dan Contoh Kalimat Simple Present Tense

Simple present tense adalah bentuk kata kerja yang mengungkapkan suatu peristiwa, kegiatan atau kenyataan umum (general truth) dan kebiasaan (habitual action) yang terjadi pada saat ini.

Keterangan waktu yang menunjukkan simple present tense adalah :
every... (every day, every month, every summer, dll)
twice... (twice a day, twice a month, dll)
once in... (once in two hours, once in two days, dll)
this morning
this afternoon
this evening

Rumus simple present tense dan contohnya :

Untuk kalimat positif 
S + V1  / S + auxiliary (do/does) + bare infinitive
- I needs much time to do it.
- James looks so perfect with his new shirt.

S + be (is/am/are) 
- The foods are so good.
- The house is big.

Untuk kalimat negatif
S + auxiliary (do/does) + not + bare infinitive
- I don't need much time to do it.
- James doesn't look so perfect with his new shirt.

S + be (is/am/are) + not
- The foods are not so good.
- The house is not big.

Untuk kalimat  interogative
Do/Does + S + bare infinitive
- Do I need much time to do it?
- Does James look so perfect with his new shirt?

Be (is/am/are) + S
- Are the foods so good?
- Is the house big?
