Pengertian dan Contoh Kalimat Reflexive Pronoun

Reflexive Pronoun adalah kata ganti yang digunakan untuk menyatakan bahwa subject (berupa orang atau hewan) menerima aksi dari verb (reciprocal action) pada suatu kalimat.

Bentuk Reflexive Pronoun
Myself, Ourselves, Yourself, Yourselves (jamak), Himself, Herself, Itself.


Penggunaan Reflexive Pronoun
1. Sebagai objek kata kerja yang mengacu kepada pelaku :

• I cut myself.

• He can't shave himself.

• Ryan and Harry blamed themselves for the accident.

• This refrigerator defrosts itself.

2. Sebagai penekanan pada subjek dan diletakkan langsung setelah subjek tersebut :

• The Queen herself gave the jewel.

• I myself sent the message.

• Joe himself move the table.

• You yourself bought the bag. 

3. By + Reflexive pronoun mempunyai arti sendirian :

• I go to school bymyself.

• She cleaned the house by herself.

• He did it by himself.
