Pengertian dan Contoh Kalimat Pronoun

Pronoun atau kata ganti adalah kata yang digunakan untuk menggantikan noun yang dapat berupa orang, benda, tempat, hewan atau konsep abstrak. Pronoun juga merupakan salah satu unsur kalimat (part of speech) dalam bahasa inggris. Berikut ini macam-macam kalimat pronoun :

A. Personal Pronoun (Kata ganti perorangan)

Pengertian Personal Pronoun
Personal pronoun (I, you, they, we, she, he, it, us, her, his, them, mine, yours,its) digunakan untuk benda, orang, hewan atau hal yang lebih spesifik. Personal pronoun dibedakan menjadi personal pronoun yang berkedudukan sebagai subjek dan berkedudukan sebagai objek (object pronoun). Berikut ini peran dan contoh kalimat personal pronoun :

a. Subjek pronoun

cara menempatkan/menulis subjek pronoun :
 
  1. Sebelum kata kerja dalam kalimat positif dan negatif
   
    I clean the floor.
    We study english.
    You opened the door.
    She cooked.
    They played basketball.

  2. Sebelum kata bantu dalam kalimat positif dan negatif
   
    I will clean the floor.
    We must study english.
    You haven't opened the door.
    She had cooked.
    They are playing basketball.

  3. Setelah kata bantu sebelum kata kerja dalam pertanyaan ya dan tidak :

    Do I clean the floor?
    Do we study english?
    Did you open the door?
    Did she cook?
    Did they play basketball?

  4. Setelah kata tanya dan kata bantu sebelum kata kerja dalam pertanyaan yang ada kata tanyanya :

    What do I clean?
    How often do we study english?
    Why did you open the door?
    Where did she cook?
    When have they played basketball?

b. Object pronoun

cara menempatkan/menulis object pronoun :

  1. Setelah kata kerja :

    He called me.
    Mother gave me money.
    She need him.
    Don't disturb her.

  2. Setelah preposisi ketika terletak sesudah direct object :

    Mother gave money to me.
    I bought a camera for him.
    Our mother brought food for us.

  3. Diantara kata kerja dan preposisi atau tengah frasa verba :

    hang it up
    take them off
    switch it on
